EcoAudit.


During the year 2002/2003 it have begun in the University of León the activity of the EcoAudit in the Campus of Vegazana. It is an initiative of the Environment Research Institute that implies the whole university community and that aims, as a final objective, the proposition and development of measures for environmental improvement: energy, use of the water, transport,…

The first part of the EcoAudit is related to the analysis and collection of information. The sources of natural resources of the Campus of Vegazana will be studied and its consumption quantified. For this it have been created different interdisciplinary teams of members of the university community that will take charge of this work by sectors.

The Bazar, collaborating with the Environment Research Institute, includes all those tasks about analysis and mensuration in the first phase of the EcoAudit as “Bazar’s Projects”. The projects appearing in blue in the list of “Bazar’s Projects” belong to the initiatives of the Green Agency.

These projects will suppose a very valuable practical experience for all those students who want to be formed in activities related to Environmental Management and also an active contribution from the university community to the protection of the environment.

The collaborators in the projects related to the EcoAudit will have the support of the researchers responsible for each one in the official flowchart of the EcoAudit of the University of León.

As every activity managed through the Bazar, any collaboration will have an official certificate of realized tasks (according to their nature will be signed by the professor-tutor and/or the University authority). Additionally, as in every activity negotiated by the Bazar, one will be able to request the personnel of the Bazar to negotiate with professors the possibility that the activity counts as practices for a subject.

As the activities of the EcoAudit go on, the projects will be actualized and detailed.
