Accomodation

The Organising Committee of ECSS 2004 has named VIACA the official travel agency for this conference. Thus, VIACA is in charge of the organization of tourist services for ECSS 2004. The University of León has been working with VIACA for a number of years now organising trips, accommodation facilities and other services for various conferences.

The city of León has excellent hotels and restaurants, as it is located on the Pilgrim’s Way to Santiago de Compostela. Tourism has a great influence on the economy of León.

The Hostal de San Marcos in León is one of the best five-star hotels of a national network of luxury hotels in Spain: Paradores Nacionales. There are also 5 four-star hotels in León, as well as many others of different types.

We have been in touch with some of these hotels and have finally obtained very competitive prices for participants in ECSS 2004.

Our experience in organising conferences has made us decide to look for packages that would provide better prices for the participants in ECSS 2004. The best offers are those by VIACA, including a package with accommodation, breakfast and dinner from Monday night till Friday, that is, checking in on the 8th and leaving on the 12th November. This service includes 4 nights + breakfast and 3 dinners, as there will be a gala dinner during the 2004 conference for all participants.

Registration for ECSS 2004 includes a lunch ticket for the Campus cafeteria. There will also be a free bus service from the main hotels to the Campus and back.
