What is the "Oficina del Estudiante Extranjero"?
(Foreign students' office)

It is an office situated in the "Edificio de Servicios", a building on the Vegazana Campus, managed by the Vicerrectorado de Relaciones Internacionales (International Relations Office) through the Servicio de Movilidad Internacional. In this office, help is given to international exchange students coming to the University of Leon, and among other, the Padrino/mentor system is organised here.

The "Oficina del Estudiante Extranjero" will help to integrate the foreign student into the University of Leon through the following means:

• A reception to welcome the foreign students into the University of Leon.
• The Padrino/mentor system.
• Help and advice on looking for accommodation.
• Information about the subjects offered by the University of Leon.
• General information about the university.
• The integration of the exchange students into student life.
• The organisation of trips, cultural activities, sport and social/cultural integration.
• Constant follow-up of the programme and its progression.
• The drawing-up of a yearly record of activities.
